Today, on 17 September 2025, we observe 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲 — a reminder that patient safety is not optional, and for newborns and young children, safety must begin from the very first moments of life.

This year’s theme — “Safe care for every newborn and every child”— highlights our responsibility to protect the youngest and most vulnerable. Small changes in systems, training, and awareness can prevent harm and save lives.
